The short version
Safety & privacy, no fine print.
Spotlight is built for people who just want somewhere to go. Here's exactly what happens with your info — in normal words, not lawyer words.
Your location is used once, then dropped
We ask where you are only to find spots near you. It's used for that search and never saved to an account — because there is no account.
No sign-up, no tracking profile
No name, no phone number, no login. Saved spots live on your own device. Clear them any time with the Clear all button.
Share only when you want to
A share link is only created when you tap Share. Anyone with that link can see that list, so send it to friends, not the whole internet.
Show up smart
Spotlight suggests public places — it can't vouch for them. Tell someone where you're going, meet in daylight-busy spots when you can, and bail if a place feels off. No spot is worth a weird gut feeling.
Under 16? Same rules, plus one.
Spotlight never asks you for personal details, so there's nothing for us to leak. Still — let a parent or guardian know where you're headed. That's not us being uncool, that's just how you get to go out again next weekend.
